Besides being an undergraduate health science student, I’m also a CUSA volunteer and science recruitment ambassador on campus. My goal for the future is to pursue a Masters in speech language pathology and create a safe space for people while doing that! In my free time, I enjoy listening to music and watching steven universe. Fun fact about me: my favourite colour is purple!

Third Year Rep

Hi everyone! I'm from Nova Scotia, and I'm super passionate about women's empowerment through health. I am interested in health policy and global health, as well as how the social determinants of health disproportionately effect marginalized populations. I love to spend time with my friends, listen to all kinds of music, and play pool! :)

Fourth Year Rep

Hello! My name is Maria and I am in my final year in the biomedical science concentration. Currently, I am completing my honour’s thesis with Dr. Oudhoff, studying the epithelial immunology of the gut! Health science is becoming increasingly interdisciplinary and inclusive, and I look forward to what this will mean for conditions with complex etiologies, as well as for under-researched populations. In parallel with my studies, I have a passion for music: I am learning the violin and I sing in a wonderful choir. I believe learning outside of science not only makes us better scientists, but it is also helpful for maintaining a sense of balance as well as stress management.
